Re-Designing the Ostomy Bag – A Study by Imperial College London
Re-Designing the Ostomy Bag Study
Are you older than 16? Are you living with an ostomy bag or had to use one in the past? Would you be willing to participate in a study aiming to improve the quality of life of ostomates by re-designing the ostomy bag itself?
What will it involve?
You will be asked to answer a survey with questions about your experience on living with an ostomy bag. If you are in London, you can also take part in a focus group on the 30th of August 2019 where we will be looking at current problems ostomates face on their daily journeys regarding their ostomy bags and we will be brainstorming solutions.
For more information please read the patient information sheet
How long will it take me to complete the survey?
The survey should only take about 5-15 minutes to complete, depending on the level of details you are willing to give.
Will my taking part in this study be kept confidential?
We will not be sharing information about you to anyone outside of the research team. Any experiences or thoughts you share in the survey will be made anonymous with a research number instead of your name. This research is part of a student final year project.
Are you eligible?
If you are currently living with an ostomy bag or needed to have one in the past, we would like to hear from you. The survey is completed online, and to participate in the focus group you would need to travel to London or be based there on the 30th of August 2019.
